Yardley Manor Reviews

Alyson
Lovely holiday home, comfortable, spotless, well decorated but still family friendly with every need addressed. Overlooking interesting, busy park and short amble to the nicest beach at Scarborough. We had a wonderful Easter family weekend and would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. We may be back!
Carole
Fantastic property in a great location in Scarborough's North Bay area. We had 12 adults and 2 children and the make up of the bedrooms meant everyone who wanted their own room had that option and all the adults had en suite facilities too. There is one room where you have to pass through the childrens' bunk bed room to get to the attached double and that en suite which may be an issue for some families I enjoyed the fact that nobody found me
A family group of 17 stayed at Yardley Manor for 9 nights over Christmas 2025. Three generations ranging from 70 to 7 months. Great location over the road from the park and few minutes walk to the sea front. Supermarkets a short drive away and convenience shops a few minutes walk. We had a couple of minor issues which were quickly resolved when we notified the owners. We did have two dogs with us which we found on arrival were only allowed on the ground floor. The main large lounge is on the first floor which we had to work around. Some of the party were arriving a few days later and they brought a gate with them to prevent the dogs going upstairs. All in all a lovely house and we would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was very comfortable a few mattresses could do with updating, but the majority were lovely and had loads of space and features! Pros The kitchen had some decent pots and pans The furniture was comfortable and spacious We loved all the room options for both bedrooms and living spaces The house was pretty cosy the whole time, surprising for such a large space. The hot tub was fab! Niggly points Not much bakeware, if you're doing a lot of casseroles or any cakespies. Some of the kitchen tools masher, spatulas, etc were very basic and not great. The knives definitely need sharpening. The piano needs some work, some of the keys don't play and it needs a tuning. Really, there is very little to complain about and most of it is because I'm a former professional cookbaker, so I'm somewhat particular. We were cooking a massive feast one night and came up short on a few things. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. The house is quiet and the hot tub isn't overlooked. The park across the street is beautiful and a fab place to walk. We will definitely be considering Yardley Manor for next year!

This is our second visit, lovely accommodate, clean and spacious, we had a great time. Love this place, would highly recommend.
We all had a great time at yardley manor . This has to be the best place we have ever stayed in . In total we had 19 people staying but we all had plenty of room . Many thanks again for a brilliant week had by all
Yardley Manor is a beautiful property, well maintained and ideal for a large family gathering with plenty of space for the 13 of us. It's well situated for walking to the North bay and into Scarborough. We had a wonderful time and thank you for the presseco!
Fabulous large holiday home. We are a group of golfing ladies who hire for a week during Scarborough Golf week it has everything you need and a lovely location. Small downside is some of the bathrooms are getting tired
We had a lovely stay at Yardley Manor, it is a great space for a large family gathering. We had multi generation family from grandad to great grandchildren staying. The location is fantastic to access the sights of Scarborough. There is lots of space in the house to chill out, multiple lounges and the hot tub was popular with the younger generation. A floorplan would be useful as we had 22 staying, including some young children in bunk beds and the description is a bit confusing. The ground floor bedroom was great for grandad who has limited mobility, he suggested some grab rails for his shower. But overall a great property in a fabulous location. We would definitely go back.
Stayed in this property for a week as a family group of 12 aged between 16 and 75. All rooms have their own bathroom, saving arguments and delays. There are 2 sitting rooms which meant space for conversation and movie watching. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, we catered for 12, cooking from scratch each night with no issues. Hot tub was great, parking was easy for 4 cars, could easily have fitted more. The listing is confusing as to whether there is a ground floor ensuite room or not. There is and it is a double with a bath and shower, which was perfect. The house is in walking distance of the south beach, park and arena, also the water parkspa is amazing and a 5 min walk away.
Lovely house with great facilities and comfort. Have stayed previously and will definitely be staying again in the future.
Needed an outdoor brush Decor needed updating in some areas, looked like some ... Needed an outdoor brush Decor needed updating in some areas, looked like some work had been done on walls but not redecorated No recycling as says its a commercial property, I feel that this is not a reason not to recycle Hallway smelt of cat pee Great location Lots of space for a large group
This was our 3rd yearly stay. The house is absolutely perfect for large family & friends gatherings. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Beds are comfy, plenty of space for people, and everywhere was spotless upon arrival. There have been a couple of small minor issues each stay which is only to be expected with such a large property but the communication with the owners is always super quick, helpful and things have always been sorted within a day. The property always looks and feels as if it has been maintained over the year many holiday lets seem to be neglected when you revisit. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we are hoping to return again in 2026.
First class well equipped property, ideal for our family group of 15 adults and 3 toddlers. Perhaps worth noting on the description that a double bedroom on the 2nd floor is accessed through the bunk room and risks disturbing any young children in there etc. Already planning our return visit. Thank you.

Wonderful large, spacious and well equipped holiday house. Ideal for our large family 16 people Christmas gathering. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need to cater for a large group. The dining room is huge with more than enough room for our group to enjoy meals all together. Having 2 lounges and a games area just off the kitchen means there is plenty of space to spread out. Having en suites in every bedroom is also a major plus.
Fantastic house in great location, clean warm home from home . Great hot tub very private but would recommend wooden cover over it in the winter months 10 out of 10

WOW! This house is amazing, absolutely perfect for our large family gathering. Our family of educators have been going to a house every October half term for the last 20 years and each year our family grows so we need bigger houses. This one is outstanding, with lots of rooms to spread out and find a bit of space and quiet if needed. It was super clean and very well equipped for all our cooking needs. The bedrooms were just right and beds comfy. As it was our 50th wedding year, we got the largest one with the lovely 4 poster bed! The park opposite was lovely too, great little pitch and putt which the kids loved and lots of wildlife. The boating lake was well used and a great little craft day was laid on by the council. The North beach was just a few minutes stroll and the South beach was a lovely walk along the sea prom or , if like me walking that far is difficult, the open top bus is always available. The miniature railway was also just a couple of minutes walk away and did a great Halloween ride. I would really struggle to find anything negative about this house, its facilities or location, but a couple of our party have hot tubs at home and suggested that chlorine tablets were needed as, after a couple of days, the water was a bit foggy, but I would imagine that would be dangerous if you were inexperienced with this. We will certainly return to this gorgeous place but our numbers are reducing as several of the grandchildren are now at university so a slightly smaller house next year! Thanks to everyone involved, the owners, the cleaners, Sykes etc. for making this such a special treat for us all.
Pamela
We had a super time. Plenty of space for 4 generations of the family. The children could play and make noise without disturbing the great grandmas. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen to cook for 15 of us. The piano in tune with itself but not concert pitch was a well used bonus for our musical family.
Having only one fridge freeezer in the kitchen area limited the storage for a large group. The fridge in the bar was out of action and the one in the toilet of the 1st floor lounge had limitations due to its situation . A separate laundry storage area would be ideal. The house is very welcoming , comfortable and in an ideal situation.
A beautiful house that has been decorated with great love, care and attention. All facilities are present and in good working order. We had a great time in your lovely house and we will be certainly coming back again. Thank you very much!!
Great for a family get together with plenty of rooms. Would help if a floorplan was available on arrival as identifying all the rooms took some time.
Brilliant house with great amenities. Beautifully clean and lovely finishing touches. Perfect location.

We had a wonderful stay at Yardley Manor and the house exceeded our expectations and really met our needs.
George
Fabulous house, really comfortable, loved the two lounges, especially the large one on the first floor. Couple of little niggles, on the top floor couldnt always get a hot shower. The back door latch fell off the moment we arrived didnt affect us though. Last thing ,there was no egg cups so the kids couldnt dippy soldiers for breakfast.
Fantastic property, maintained and equipped to a very high standard. Excellent location for the town & seafront. Complementary Prosecco went down well, thank you. Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning!
There was a problem with hot tub but it was sorted same day so no problem. The house was a brilliant place to celebrate with all the family. Every bedroom having en suites was great. The lounge and dining rooms were suitable for the number of occupants. The piano has some hammers missing so limited the quality of music played. All in all a fantastic place and fulfilled our needs. Came home with lots of treasured memories.
This house was everything I had hoped for our family get together for my birthday. It was spotlessly clean. Facilities were excellent, plenty of cooking utensils for 20 people. It was great having the bar! All the bedrooms clean and comfortable! The location is perfect for the North shore attractions and a beach stroll! Directly across the road from Peasholme park.
Couple of things failed but there team was there and fixed all.
An excellent venue, minor problems being downstairs ensuite bathroom window would not open, catch broken. Kitchen sink tap leaking. As this property accommodates up to 20 people, a second dishwasher would be welcome !!! We hope to return !
This is the third year we have spent at the house with our party of 16 friends. Its very comfortable & well equipped. It is fairly unique in that each bedroom or bedroom suite has an ensuite bathroom. In the UK its difficult to find properties with a bathroom for each bedroom. Whenever there has been a problem with the property we have been impressed by the willingness & speed the owners have reacted to ensuring an issue is quickly resolved. We would highly recommend this house.
Philip
Great place to stay . Reality better than the pictures. Very comfortable and clean. Beds comfortable. Plenty of utensils and equipment in the kitchen. Couple of showers didnt work properly we didnt complain as there were plenty of others to use so it wasnt a problem. No shortage of hot water for baths and showers. Hot tub a real success. Definitely recommend and will stay again. Location was great. Thank you we had a perfect holiday.
Excellent place to stay, in great location
Charlotte
This is a superb house that really fitted our needs and made for a lovely extended family gathering. The piano especially was a wellused bonus! Our youngsters also enjoyed use of the hot tub and games of hide and seek in all the various rooms! The house is very well equipped, lovely and warm, with constant hot water and plenty of home comforts. One addition that would be useful is a coatstand or some coat hooks in the front porch, as the kids tended to offload coats and shoes there so as not to tread dirt through the house. Also useful might be some foam covering or equivalent on the outer edge of the fire escape at head height, as one of our family had a near miss on that account. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.
Eileen
Generally superb accommodation and facilities but there was nowhere for our party of 14 to hang outdoor clothing and shoes.
Sandra
Lovely house, enjoyed by all. Few things need attention, downstairs bedroom musty smell also shower overflows had to take drain cover out. Tried to use vacuum but not working. Bin in kitchen filthy had to clean out.Microwave needed cleaning.Outside in car park needs a light as very dangerous, especially near fire escape, husband nearly hit his head.Master bedroom toilet brush and holder were both filthy.Overall a lovely house but some attention needed in cleaning. Would stay again. Location fantastic and thanks for the welcome gift on arrival.
Suzanne
What a fabulous place for a large group. We were a party of 20 and I struggled to find somewhere which had sufficient rooms to include single friends however Yardley Manor was perfect. Lots of living space although we tended to use the kitchen, dining room, small sitting room as the space flowed well, so we enjoyed drinks and cooking as a group. Every room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Lovely location opposite Peasholm Park and plenty of parking spaces at the property. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to return.
A very comfortable, spacious property ideal for large groups. The owners are quick to respond & deal with any problems.
Another lovely week, the property is so comfortable and deserves its 5 star rating. The Knitting Club Sheffield
We found the property very well cared for with almost everything we needed apart from a barbecue. There was a problem with the heating on arrival. The owner was very responsive despite it being a Saturday and the problem was resolved quickly. We were offered compensation for our inconvenience. The property is very conveniently located and is very spacious with areas to allow separation of children and adults. This is the best property we have found to date to accommodate our group of 20 people and would certainly return for a similar gathering.
