Good property location for Open air Theatre, plenty of parking spaces & spacious house but is looking tired needs a good clean & tidying up but ok for a short stay.

Had the best stay at this property last week. Loved it so much ive just booked again for next year! Very spacious property in a great location. Directly opposite a water park, restaurant and close to the beach and Sea Life. A short walk gets you to the open air theatre, peasholm park and an open top bus which takes you to the South Bay. Nice spacious driveway which took a lot of stress off worrying about parking. Kids really enjoyed it.

Lovely house very big and comfortable, there where 7 of us and 2 dogs and we had plenty of room ,beds are large and comfy and the house is well equipped, games room in garage was a big hit ,although the air hockey needs fixing as theres no air ,theres a pool table and darts ,garden was lovely with plenty of chairs to sit outside in the evenings ,great position, for peasome park,alphamere, open air theatre, and the tunny catch pub ,we would definitely stay here again

A spacious house in a good location with lots of parking and outside space. It was our second stay at the property and despite a few negatives this time we still enjoyed our holiday. There were 8 of us but only 7 dining chairs so we had to carry one from upstairs. Only 1 hand towel for 4 people, no oven gloves, no rubber safety mats in either bathrooms which I think are essential. The 2 manual recliners were almost impossible to get back into position. We unfortunately found a cobweb in one of the kitchen cupboards so they could probably do with a good clean out. However the kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, crockery etc.

Good points , good parking outside property , close proximity within walking distance to North Beach ,indoor swimming pool and a pub nearby . Negative points house not clean dust balls behind bed , sofas not moved , sweets etc underneath dust in all areas . Garden this was the biggest disappointment , we were looking forward to spending time in the garden with our grandchildren and family the grass is very overgrown not been cut for many weeks , but the biggest problem is rotten decking , it had collapsed in many places , a rotten fence 2 eye sore sheds and a pile of random stone , a very unsafe garden which needs work , therefore not safe to use and important if any one else books the house and expects as we did out door space .The overgrown weeds when car was first parked , first impression wasnt good .Feels neglected .We had a very hot week and lots of beach days .

Fantastic location and huge house, off road parking an absolute bonus, however its looking a bit tired and the cleanliness wasnt great. It could do with a deep clean and refresh. This could be an amazing property.

Lovely house well placed for all of the attractions in Scarborough. In need of some tlc , tidy up and general repairs plinths falling off in the kitchen decking area in the garden needs replacing broken garden furniture left out. Could do with a deep clean and then a more rigorous cleaning regime.

We once again had a lovely family holiday with this property. Unfortunately the shower in the en suit still hadn't been fully repaired but we were contacted by the owner of the property who apologised, and they are working on it which is all we could really ask for. The bathroom shower was still working perfectly so not a big issue. Would definitely recommend, and hope to return in the future.

A very good house, perfect location with lots of interest for young and old alike. Well equipped but the 2nd floor shower doesnt work.

Over all we were satisfied with the property. However the cleaning wasnt up to standard, also the shower in the attic bedroom, never worked from when we got there. We all 8 of us had to use the only other shower and since it was hot it was well used.

Absolutely amazing! The whole family loved the house. It had everything we needed, very comfortable, spacious and perfectly situated from Peasholm Park and town centre. Would love to come back next year

Another perfect holiday. This is our third stay here and we hope to return next summer.

What a lovely holiday home, so close to north bay attractions and the OAT. Tunny Catch pub right across the road was so handy and the food was good! The house is very spacious we liked the fact we could all sit as a family either in the dining room or the lounge. Was a nice surprise to find a games room in the garage with a little pool table and air hockey! The kitchen had very thing we needed. The garden was lovely and very safe and secure for our dog. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable and clean. Overall the house was clean but some areas were dusty. We were also very impressed with Sykes and the holiday home owners when we had an issue with the front door, this was delt with very quickly and within the hour of making the call which was out of hours too! We will not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family and if Yorkshire calls us again we would definitely book again.

New settee in lounge not very comfortable. No welcome pack this time not really a problem. Just an observation. Couldn't get microwave to work. Lovely house though.

Lovely clean, spacious and well equipped property in an excellent location. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and to Peasolm Park, Tesco literally only a 5 minutes walk. The beds were comfortable, the showers were excellent and the garden was perfect for the dog. A tumble dryer would be very useful but guests are aware there isn't one on booking. It was our second visit and would love to book again.

Thank you for letting out your wonderful home. It had everything we needed. It was in a perfect location with Alphamere water park opposite, a nice pub over the road and within close distance to Peasholme park. Could not fault it. It was spotlessly clean and fresh and modern with it. I hope we will be back!

This property is spacious and in an excellent location. The garden is flat and secure perfect for dogs and young children. Upon entering the house it smelled lovely and clean. We would definitely recommend it!

This was our second visit to the property and as before we as a family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Facilities very good and in just the right area, close enough to all that Scarborough has to offer yet far enough away if you like it a little quieter in the evenings.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Scarborough. The house was nice, beds were comfortable etc. A sink is definitely required in the downstairs toilet....and a tumble drier would have been very useful considering the inclement weather during our week away. We would consider staying at this house again.

This property even though in a perfect location with a layout that suited us , it was tired and dirty beyond belief. Furniture dirty and stained, garden unable to use rotten decking and seriously overgrown. The photos on booking site very old so miss selling the property big time . We even bought a coffee machine and mugs as they were heavily stained.

An excellent house and location for Scarborough and the surrounding area. Comfy beds, warm and homely , excellent showers and very well equipped kitchen. Would have appreciated a blind at the bathroom window. Would recommend 53 Burniston Rd for large groupswe were a party of 7 made up of 3 generations Had a very enjoyable holiday dispite the weather

This property is in an ideal location. Spacious and clean The three piece has seen better days very grubby. Had to put blankets over it to be able sit down No toilet rolls. We had to buy them. Apologies if it states somewhere they are not provided. The garden wasnt inviting needs lots of tlc

Fantastic accommodation with excellent facilities. The property was clean well maintained and had everything we needed for our holiday. The beds were so comfortable, We will definitely be booking the lovely home again

So enjoyed a short break in Scarborough. Good accommodation in an excellent location. TV problem was sorted out by the owners extremely quickly, they are most helpful. Recommended for large or small families.

Fantastic property with all of the facilities promised. Clean throughout, really helped for us to celebrate the new year as a family in 1 place. Thank you so much for our little welcome pack. We all loved the house it was spotless and there was everything we needed. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. The house was in a great location and the bus from town stopped outside the property. I would highly recommend this house it was like a home from home.

Thank you to Kevin and Helen on providing a wonderful home from home, you can tell they care about attention to detail. Definitely a fantastic location, really peaceful and tranquil plus the home more or less has everything you need, bus stop and great friendly pub just opposite the house. Downside, cleaners seem to be slacking, very dusty and blinds needed a good clean. It did smell of dog which the owners have tried to address but that's due to other inconsiderate people staying not the owners. No bin liners, washing up liquid and only 2 toilet rolls so we had to buy our own. Would of appreciated a welcome pack considering the price but would definitely consider staying again.

We were very happy with the house, so convenient for shops, pub, water park, and most helpful for us, the bus stop right outside the property. Enjoyed it so much, we have already booked it again for next year.

There seems to be a problem getting the general waste bin emptied. We put it out on the right day but it wasn't emptied. We noticed that it has an orange lid, unlike the bins at the other houses nearby, and concluded that orange lid means it is treated as commercial waste. The bin was pretty full when we arrived, and was completely full when we left, in fact we had to leave a bag of rubbish which we doublebagged for extra protection in the garage. I think we are not the first people to encounter this problem either the house should have an ordinary general waste bin like the other houses, or there should be a regular commercial waste collection. Other than that, we had a lovely holiday!

Lovi g room had dust all over shelves and top of fire surround. Ensuite shower had red hair blocking the shower drain which we had to remove before it could be used. Clumps of dust in corner of loft room. Baking tray in oven had dirty foil on top.of it.

In general a very nice place to stay. Well equipped kitchen. Good selection of games and books for children we had brought our own anyway. Handy location. We did not go to Alpamere across the road as we thought the cost was prohibitive. Can recommend the food and service in the Tunny Catch also across the road. The information pack is a bit sparse. Would have been good to have some info on local buses for example. We had done some research before we came about buses to Whitby but there wasn't any info about other buses into Scarborough. What info there was could be confusing. The vacuum cleaner had a note on it saying if you use it empty it. It had obviously been used and not emptied. The bins outside were very full when we arrived, and, despite putting them out when instructed they were not emptied except for the garden waste bin so are subsequently more full now. I hope the bins are emptied this week or the next occupants will have difficulty getting anything in them. The garden seats were all over the garden but the pack said they should be put away. But we are told to leave the place as we find it! The downstairs toilet accessed via the garage has a sink but no working tap. That was somewhat inconvenient, especially with young children. On a personal note, although the rest of my family found the sofas and chair comfortable, I have arthritis and issues with my back and could not sit on them. I spent the entire week sitting on a dining chair which wasn't very relaxing. One other small suggestion curtains in the bedrooms, especially those front facing bedrooms. The blinds are fine but didn't do much with the road noise it is a main road out of Scarborough. Having said all of the above it was a lovely house and would recommend it for location.

The location of this house is excellent, only a few minutes walk to Peasolm Park and to the beach. The entrance to the drive is tight but as the picture shows there's plenty of room to park. The house itself was large, spacious and clean, though a lot of dust on the shelves inside wardrobes. We couldn't get the TV to work until the second day as the tv itself had no signal at all and the cable to the bt box was curled up behind a sideboard which obviously took us a while to find but once found was fine. There are also TVs in two of the bedrooms which I don't believe is mentioned in the description. We had two problems, the shower in the ensuite was virtually blocked so you had to shower before the water filled the tray and it took forever to drain, then if you tried to rinse the shower after it emptied it obviously just filled up again quickly. The shower itself was excellent. We did try and contact Sykes with no success at all. Also, the fridge in the garage did not get cold despite the setting you put it on so we had to throw out all the food we put in it unopened milk curdled and a trifle went mouldy one day after opening it all were well within their dates so we threw the rest of our food out so just used the small fridge in the kitchen which didn't have a good suction on the door. All of these things can be easily rectified but all in all we had an amazing holiday and didn't want to leave. We would definitely stay there again, its a lovely house, just needs some attention.
