Church Beck House Reviews

Emma
We had a fantastic stay! The house was super comfy and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring the charming village and nearby spots. We enjoyed some great meals at the Yew Tree and The Plough, both just a short walk away. The hot tub and snooker table kept us entertainedand the fizz plus tasty treats on arrival were a nice surprise. Just a heads-up: there are a few steps inside, so it might be tricky for little ones or anyone with mobility issues. Still, we'd definitely come back!
Oliver
We had a fantastic time! The hot tub was massive, fitting all seven of us comfortably, which was perfect for unwinding. The kitchen had everything we needed, making cooking a breeze. The location's great, just a quick 15-minute drive to Scarborough. The snooker room was a fun bonus - we spent hours there. Overall, a really good value stay. Thanks a lot!

We recently spent Christmas at this lovely house with two familiesand overall, we had a really good time. The place itself is absolutely charming, with a real old-world feel that adds to its character. It's tucked away in a stunning area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The house had everything we needed, which was great, although a couple of things could be clearer in the listing. For instance, we initially thought the front of the house in the pictures was the one we'd be staying at, but it turned out the main entrance was the side door. Also, it wasn't immediately obvious that the property was actually two separate dwellings, which might be worth mentioning to avoid confusion. When we were sitting in the lounge, we noticed people walking past the windows quite a lot, which made us feel a bit exposed, especially since we weren't aware of the layout beforehand. A bit more privacy info in the advert would be helpful. The hot tub was a real highlight-absolutely loved it! Though, it had been moved from the photosand instead of being on the patio, it was on the grass across the way. Getting in and out meant stepping onto wet grass, which got our feet muddy. If it's going to stay there, maybe a mat or something would make it a bit more practical. Despite these minor niggles, we really enjoyed our stay. The welcome touches like the prosecco and Yule log were such thoughtful gestures. The house is gorgeousand although the church bells rang quite a bit, we soon got used to it. Thanks for a lovely holidayand happy new year!
Oliver

The house was simply fantastic and really went beyond what we hoped for. Checking in and out was smoothand the owner was quick to respond when we had a question. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave! Definitely recommend.

Honestly, this place totally blew us away! From the moment we arrived, there was that real wow factor. The house is beautifully decorated and in such a gorgeous spot - perfect for a peaceful getaway. We stayed during a cold snap, but the house was so warm and cosy, we didn't want to leave. The cleanliness was spot on, though we did spot a couple of tiny things - a packet of mini cheddars behind the radiator in the snooker room and a balloon under the bed in the master suite, but honestly, they didn't bother us at all. The only slight inconvenience was some other guests parked right outside our door, making it tricky to get in and out. We politely mentioned itand they moved their cars, but they did return the next day and parked again, crossing in front of our windows, which was a bit intrusive. Not really the host's fault, but a bit of a shame if you're after total privacy. Overall, though, the house was lovely, well-stockedand had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We'd definitely recommend it and would love to come back again soon. Just a minor thing about the parking, but it's a minor quibble in what was otherwise a fantastic trip!
