Third time at Raincliffe Manor and enjoyed it just as much as the first. The location is excellent for relaxing in the very large grounds but close enough to enjoy the amenities that Scarborough offers. Ann and Pete are excellent hosts and easily accessible if needed. The kids loved the resident Peacocks and having the space to play. The house is well kept and stocked on arrival and we really appreciated the welcome pack.

A lovely house , spacious and comfortable. Kitchen equipment well provided , everything you could want. Loved the garden. Particularly enjoyed the wildlife, squirrels, deer and friendly peacock. Bedrooms large and good wardrobe space. As advertised it is quite isolated, so a car is essential. Plenty of parking though. One unfortunate problem for us was hot water supply. Cold showers ! Owners did try their best to remedy the problem but as it was bank holiday this took a while.

Raincliffe Manor is a lovely, light and spacious property which is perfect for families and groups. You definitely need a car as it is not really possible to walk safely into the town! The house was well appointed with comfortable beds, a huge TV and plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well appointed so it was easy to cook for several people. We used it as a base as we went out a lot Whitby, York, Helmsley, Haworth and more it is quite a long drive from many places in Yorkshire so factor in the journey time unless you are staying more local. The peacocks are great fun and the ponies up at the back of the garden are adorable all in all it was lovely and relaxing place to stay.

Lovely spacious property with fantastic garden area for relaxing. It lost points on cleanliness due to thick dust in places such as the base of my bedside lamp. Beds were comfy and we slept well. There was a very kind welcome basket for us and the house was well equipped with nice touches such as boxes of tissues that you dont get in every rental property. There was something for everyone in this multigenerational group from 13 and 15 year old boys, who enjoyed having a playroom with table football, to this 74 year old who enjoyed a quiet garden seat, watching the peacock. Please check the shower in the master bedroom. The temperature couldnt be controlled. Either scalding hot or freezing cold. Needs looking at.

The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped, and the beautiful expansive garden really was the icing on the cake.

We had a few days with my daughter and three children in this lovely house. The house was exceptional and in a beautiful setting.it was my idea of perfect holiday and close to many of the attractions the Yorkshire coast has to offer.The owners of the property were warm and welcoming plus the company of a very friendly peacock.

Excellent large house, very well equipped and comfortable. Main bedroom and ensuite are huge! Conveniently located for the coast at Scarborough and routes north and south avoiding Scarborough centre. Excellent walks on the doorstep in Raincliffe woods. The back window was like a wildlife channel, with deer, peacocks, pheasants, hares, squirrels and many others passing through the garden. Good food at the Plough in Scalby a hearty 30 minute walk or short drive away. Wifi is a little patchy but no great issue.

Lovely property for a family holiday. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Plenty of space for everyone. Lovely hosts who were respectful of our privacy. Only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a better internet connection which was slow at times, particularly if trying to connect multiple devices. This seems to be an issue in the Scarborough area generally so probably not something the owners have a lot of control over. Would we return? Absolutely!

We have just come back from our holiday in Raincliff manor what a beautiful home loads of space everywhere so clean everything you need in the kitchen the electric charger is a bonus really great idea as we had two electric cars saved charging when out and about and the garden is beautiful what an amazing view to wake up to each morning lots of toys books jigsaws for the little ones and big ones added bonus was seeing the peacocks wondering around deer in the garden to so lovely great location for everywhere we were an family of 7 including a 4 year old and a 2 year old would highly recommend this manor we will definitely be retuning Ann and Pete who live next door who own the property are so lovely helpful all in all we all the an amazing holiday Donna and family

Raincliffe Manor. This lovely property is carefully managed to ensure high standards are maintained throughout with every consideration geared towards Guest comfort. Although only 15 minutes from Scarborough town centre and seaside attractions, the tranquil grounds have a backdrop reminiscent of the lake district where peace and relaxation is assured with many opportunities to see wildlife on the door step.

Lovely holiday home, very spacious in a great rural setting. Very nice welcome food basket on arrival. We really enjoyed the wild and tame animals we saw. The owners were around if we needed them which is helpful. Would recommend a stay here if you want a holiday in a country setting but well within the seaside.

Absolutely fabulous. Pete and Anne have thought of everything, superb service, and so Clean too. Really comfy beds and the facilities, leave you to want for nothing. Fantastic, location, so quiet and peaceful, WiFi can be a bit hit and miss, but your in the countryside, and personally, nice to get away from the internet lol. Own personal short woods walk, surrounded by countryside, with a short drive into Scarborough, will definitely be returning. There are two very friendly visiting peacocks, beautiful colours. Spacious, clean, warm, and extremely well equipped. So much space to accommodate our party of six adults and two little ones. Eight adults plus would still have room to spread out. To The Manor Born! If you fancy playing at Lord and Lady of the Manor, then this is the place for you. Relax on the rear terrace and survey your manicured grounds in peace and tranquility. The garden is just amazing. Enjoy the squirrels scampering across the grass, the little moorhen pottering about. Listen to the wonderful birdsong with the occasional bray from Dotty the donkey. Wander through the magical paths of your private woods to discover the sheep. And last but not least, marvel at the colours, splendour and magnificence of the resident peacock. The owners genuinely want you to enjoy your surroundings and be happy. They are generous, funny and very thoughtful. Make yourself at home. They are there if you need them but in no way intrusive. The manor has every gadget you would need it's very clean, comfortable and luxurious. Top quality bedding and furniture. Netflix, table football and lots of games in case it rains. Fantastic location to explore Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, etc. but to be honest, I just wanted to stay in the gardens and woods all day. Major fault with the holiday though was that we had to leave! Ha, ha. Book it. You won't be disappointed.

This property was brilliant and the photographs dont do it justice its much better in the flesh. Ann and Pete lived next door, so any issues and they were there to help, but thankfully never needed them. Their friends nearby caravan park with bar was an added bonus and overall we loved it and well be back.

What a fantastic week we have had! Raincliffe Manor is such a lovely house to stay in. The owners have thought of everything that you might need during your stay. The garden is such a delight and my grandson loved all the outdoor toys we found in the large container in the garden! The peacocks joined us regularly in the garden fascinating to watch them. We were extremely lucky with the weather for the whole week so we made the most of exploring Scarborough and then relaxing in the garden later in the afternoons. We were a group of 7 adults and a toddler. It was so lovely to have family join us in such a great house!

We were 6 adults staying in this spotlessly clean beautiful house with breathtaking gardens. It has excellent furnishings,linen, towels and a fully equipped kitchen. We particularly enjoyed dinners in the formal dining room after cocktails on the patio We loved seeing peacocks, deer, hares and red squirrel in the garden.. Very friendly owners Ann and Pete told us to let them know if we needed anything, we never did as the house is perfect. Cannot recommend this property enough.

This is a lovely house. Having a lounge and a loungegames room really suited us as we were 3 generations it is very clean with all the equipment you would want. We had cold and rainy weather, but had a great time. In Summer the garden and local walks through a woodland nature reserve straight from the house would really come into their own. The resident peacocks are a bonus and it is well placed for exploring the North York Moors as well as the attractions of Scarborough.
