Angela
Very comfortable, clean & well equipped. We had a lovely week here & will use again
The caravan is great for families and the location is really good. However the cleanliness of the caravan lets it down. The settee and chairs need a really good clean which I understand cant be done after each stay but the cushions can be removed and hoovered the outside decking area is disgusting and needs a really good clean Perhaps a new cleaning company required
Sandra
We took my partners parents on holiday for a treat to Cayton Bay, with the dogs they loved it the chalet was lovely and clean very comfortable. Dogs loved having the decking, site was great plenty to do. Would definitely go back Ive never been to Scarborough and would definitely go back. Would definitely hire the same chalet. Everyone including all the on site staff so friendly and helpful. Thank you for having us.
The best caravan we have ever stayed in. Would 100 recommend and would definitely return. So spacious and clean with everything you would need for your stay. Great location on the site and great communication from the owners and the welcome gift was a lovely touch. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.
We spent our Christmas 2024 in this lodge. Stayed there for the week. The Lodge was absolutely beautiful! They had decorated it with a Christmas tree, a fire place garland and a table runner with centre pieces. Was soo lovely. The Lodge was clean, beds were cleansl and free and comfy. Loads of kitchen equipment to use to make our Christmas dinner. In a lovely spot on the site, tucked away in the corner but close enough to get to the main entertainment. 20 minute walk from beach. The owners were were really lovely, left us a bottle of wine and Malteases for our arrival which was lovely! And an information bored with there contact details on if we needed anything. We have booked again to spend our Christmas 2025 there.

From the start communication with the owners was fantastic, replied straight back with the key code for our stay. Once we had arrived and got into we noticed a lovely welcome pack with teacoffee and much more which was welcomed after our journey. Everything was nice and clean well looked after with everything that was needed for our stay. Lovely location within the park and everything was in walking distance. Will defo want to go back again.

Stayed here for the last 4 years and it was lovely as always, quiet area, grandchildren loved it and cant wait to come back.
The lodge is really nice and very spacious, the kitchen is very well equipt it has plenty of pots, pans etc, the washing machine is very useful, our only negative comments are that we found the settee and chairs were not very comfortable.
Sandra
Johnson pine is in quite location on site. Very spacious with plenty of room for our party. We found it comfortable and the facilities were good. However had to mark it down on the cleanliness had to clean the oven & grill on first night! There were few stains on table & mirror & cob Web in skylark what had been missed....saying this it did not effect our stay we had great week & the site is brilliant for family holidays
Patrick
Very spacious accommodation, well equipped and in a peaceful location on the site. The resort facilities that we used were well maintained and supervised.
The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately, the shower in the master bedroom was out of action for the duration of our 3 night stay. The owners did notify us shortly after our arrival that they hadnt been able to resolve the issue in time for our stay, but it was an inconvenience nevertheless as 4 adults and 3 children had to share one shower. We also experienced a problem with the door handle master bedroom but this was resolved within an hour of phoning the owner. Its such a pity about the shower issue as 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
I loved location lovely quiet close to doggy toilet for dogs . Took mum sister me for nice relaxing break did find cayton beach eventually very steep though .. took mum to filey but Bridlington fantastic on flat for wheelchair .close to Scarborough filey Bridlington had lovely weather .

Had a great stay the position of the lodge was excellent. The lodge was clean and very comfortable would stay there again.
Clean, well equipped, parking, peaceful yet close to shop, food outlets and entertainment. Green location. No concerns.
We had a lovely week in Jonstone Pines, in a lovely peaceful part of the site, the site was good, especially for Children lots to do, I managed to prebook activities by phoning the site, the accommodation was lovely, nice and roomy, had everything you wanted, my one and only problem was the internet was very hit and miss as was the Mobile signal, could maybe do with a booster, otherwise excellent.
Natalie
Fabulous lodge in a fabulous location. This was our second visit to Johnstone Pines and hopefully won't be our last. It has everything you need for a great week on the East Coast especially if you have your four legged friends with you.
My family really enjoyed our stay at Jonstone Pines, the lodge was spacious and well equipped for a family of 8. The positioning on the park was ideal, a quiet spot and safe for the children as we have a disabled child, who enjoyed himself thoroughly. The lodge on arrival was very clean and welcoming. We also found the holiday park had something for everyone and was ideally placed for visiting the surrounding area
The location of the lodge was lovely , but the WiFi was a problem as we did not have any for the week , it was advertised as having WiFi the sofas in the lounge were not very comfy but having said this we enjoyed Scarborough . Thanks
Kirsty
We had an amazing 2 week stay it's such a beautiful lodge and the best decision ... We had an amazing 2 week stay it's such a beautiful lodge and the best decision we made for our Christmas and New year the owners of the lodge are lovely can't wait to go back
Lodge was well placed in the site to be away from the busy parts of the park, but close enough to walk to the restaurant. We were amazed at the space we had inside when we walked in. The facilities in the van where great and a lovely welcome of essentials, chocolates and a nice glass of wine. Everyone enjoyed their stay, and although we had a slight issue with the shower temperature the owner was on it in a flash and sorted us out. I would highly recommend this Lodge and the owners. Thank you for a great stay and a memorable birthday event.

The accommodation was great, plenty room, clean and well equipped. The caravan park was ok but very expensive, the entertainment pass cost nearly 100 for a weekend for 3 adults and 1 child and only covered the swimming pool and kids club. Everything else was to pay for, crazy golf where my grandson got stung by nettles high ropes, bungee bouncing, pedal go carts etc. My advice is dont bother with the pass, Its not worth it.
Leanne
The lodge needs a blumming good scrub inside and out! We cleaned the decking and the tables ourselves on arrival, they were filthy! The light for the ensuite didnt work, the dressing table drawer was broken, the wall paper is starting to come away in the master bedroom and the paintwork needs refreshing the oven is past its best and inefficient and the Wifi virtually none existent. Arrival is not allowed until 4pm and departure is 10am this lodge should be spotless and these small jobs should be done. After cleaning we made the most of our weekend and enjoyed ourselves, but in my opinion it is overpriced which is such a shame because with a little tlc it could be beautiful.

We had a lovely stay and would recommend
Beautiful clean, well equipped lodge, everything you may need for a family holiday. Located in a quiet cul de sac, with holiday park facilities nearby.
Elizabeth
We stayed at the beautiful Johnson pines on Cayton bay holiday park on the 1st may 2021, I have to say it was just lovely. Our first time in a lodge in the uk and we were blown away when we opened the front door to the lodge, its was homely, spacious and very clean, with an added touch of a welcome pack. We come to Scarborough a lot and mostly stay in hotel but having our 5 year old granddaughter with us there was plenty to keep her and the family entertained. Would highly recommend this beautiful lodge and we will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, kind regards the Lundy family x
We booked this cottage last minute and unfortunately we didnt do adequate research before booking. The trailer is located on a huge busy holiday camp. Our biggest complaint is that the WiFi is inadequate which was very very frustrating. Often we had no signal what so ever. The living area was a lovely size and very comfortable but the bedrooms tiny. Apart from one side of the bed in the master bedroom the rest of the party had to clamber over the beds to get in and out. The childrens room with two bunk beds leave very little space to move around and the beds block most of the light from the window so its very dark. The oven needs replacing and the trailer would benefit from having instructions on how to operate the appliances. We used the washer dryer once and the machine ran for 7 hrs and at the end the clothes were not dry.
The holiday lodge was very clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. It is located in a nice, quiet spot with the park facilities are all in walking distance. The booking process was easy and arrival instructions were excellent. We were delighted with the space and comfort the lodge gave us and with the ramp and walk in shower it was perfect for my elderly mum and aunty with her little dog. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates were a lovely gesture. We arranged a grocery delivery for the arrival evening which meant we could stock the fridge freezer and gave us the option of eating in to stay Covid safe if we wanted. Being so well equipped made that easy. The lodge was warm and comfortable. Whatever the weather it is perfect. There is a lovely patio with comfortable seating for warm sunny days and heating and a fire if its chilly and you want to snuggle up with a good book or watch one of the 3 televisions! I loved the fact that the Cleveland Way was so close and provides a fantastic coastal walk with great scenery. Our original holiday plans have been disrupted due to Covid19 but this holiday gave us time to relax, explore the area and live comfortably and well in a quality holiday home. Thank you!!
21 Jonstone pine was a perfect location and we all really had a enjoyable holiday
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Site facilities very good with access due to covid19 being taken care of. Lovely part of the country to explore with some fantastic beaches on your doorstep.
Fantastic accommodation, incredibly clean and well presented. Located in a quiet part of the site. A welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival and the owners are very keen on every detail being spot on. Will absolutely book again as soon as possible.
