Quayside House, Scarborough

A delightful home for our family. Great location for all amenities. Ideal for space, but also safe for children to be integrated . Owners are non intrusive leaving you to enjoy your holiday with a much appreciated welcome pack coffee would be nice! , but on hand to assist if needed just a phone call away. So fresh & clean as we entered the property. Everything you need. Owners priority is for you to have a stress free holiday with no rules on how to leave on your final morning. Communication before arrival meant our beds were set up as we wished. Highly recommend & wish to return.

Beautifully decorated with a seaside theme, plenty of mugs for multiple cups of tea, great location for beach, harbour, amenities and castle.

Fantastic property in a perfect location for exploring Scarborough. We really enjoyed our stay at Quayside House, the house was really clean, great kitchen, great bedrooms, perfect for our large family. Excellent communication from the host, nothing was too much trouble and the welcome hamper was such a nice touch. We will definitely return.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this property. It is in an ideal position , only a few steps from the front , but quiet. The property itself is spotless , very comfortable, & with absolutely everything you need. I would not hesitate to recommend Quayside House. It is lovingly cared for by the owner Yvonne, who always leaves a welcome,welcome pack. Thanks Yvonne for putting the flags out for our visit or could it be it coincided with the V.E. celebrations.

On arriving at our accommodation we were over the moon it was Easter weekend and the house was themed on Easter with decorations of Easter and a lovely welcome pack for the children Easter eggs. The location was brilliant the house was big enough for all of us 5 adults and 2 children. If you are thinking of staying at this house you will not be disappointed.

The ideal holiday home it is clean & comfortable with just about everything you would need. It is in an excellent location just a step back from the front . This is our 2nd visit & would not hesitate to book again, & thank you to Yvonne for the lovely welcome pack.

We had such a wonderful holiday and our host was amazing. We were a stones throw from the quay, that had a variety of different things to do and a great choice of pubs and restaurants. We didn't use our car all week and made the most of the local attractions. Even during the busy times at Scarborough, Quayside House was always peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the town, which was unbelievable, as we were so close to it all. Quayside House, was beautiful and had everything that we needed. The house was spotless and felt very luxurious. We enjoyed it so much that none of us wanted to go home.

Very helpful with an early check in and parking permits. Maybe a few extra basics like salt pepper and tea towels but the welcome box very nice.

Wonderful holiday at Quayside house. Six adults a toddler and a 12 year old had a great time, really close to all amenities. Would definitely like to return.

I have been coming to Scarborough 30 yrs and i can honestly say this is by far the best accommodation i have stayed at. ..As a family of 9 we had ample room within the house. The house is well equipped and met all our needs ....The nearest shop is a hop and a skip away, I can honestly say we will be returning.... It was lovely meeting Yvonne in the morning

Delightful property, all was just as shown in picture gallery. Location is perfect. Kitchen has everything you would need during a stay. Everywhere is spacious and caters for a full house of 9. Host was very responsive, Couldnt fault a thing and we will definitely be returning.

Quayside house is in a fantastic location for the beach, harbour, castle, local shops, dining options and entertainment. The house is roomy and gave lots of space for 4 adults and two children. The kitchen is well equipped and the rooms are all comfy. The quiet space at the back of the house to sit out in the sunshine was lovely. We all slept well in the comfy beds with lots of storage for our clothes and luggage. The car parking space in front of the house is a god send as parking in Scarborough can be difficult at busy times. There is a shop 10 seconds from the house selling essentials which was really useful and the nearest pub is the same distance, we didnt use it so cant comment on quality. More bars, cafs and ice cream are available just a few more steps away. We stayed local, but highly recommend RSPB Bempton, especially between May and July when the puffins are nesting. The castle had a great pirates event and the castle is free to visit for English Herritage members. Whitby is accessible by bus if you want to avoid driving as is Robinhoods bay. Falling Foss is a beautiful location for a walk and a treat at the cafe and Goathland is a short drive away to see where Harry Potter was filmed, see the steam trains and venture into the village to see where Heartbeat was filmed. You can go and see the Naval Warfare in Peasholm Park, swim at Alpamare or relax with a walk in the Italian gardens on the esplanade. With all this to do and a beautiful well equipped base to do it from, what's not to love? We can't wait to return!

Perfect location for South bay, clean, comfortably and well equipped house. Space for one car and scratch permit for other. We have stayed here before and can highly recommend it.

We had a fabulous holiday at Quayside house. The house is beautiful with lots of personal touches, and everything we needed for a home from home break. Its in a perfect location, close to everything and after doing a big shop we didnt use the car again all week. Yvonne is a great host and left us a lovely welcome hamper, which was very much appreciated. We are all more than happy to recommend this property to anyone looking for a home from home break, and hope to return in the future.

3rd visit to this property. Clean, comfortable and in perfect location. Good communication with owner. Could do with a new lock on the bathroom door but otherwise spot on. Hope to be back soon.

A very spacious, and modern cottage, as close as its possible to get to everything in South Bay. Want the pub ????? You can see it from the living room window. Want the Harbor ????? You can see the ships masts from the living room window. Thats how close the property is to everything. Contact with the owner was flawless, and we were made to feel very welcome. The house is a credit to its owner, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Scarborough.

Lovely location with friendly neighbours. Parking is manageable if your car is not too big and second car parking with pass. Cheerful seaside decoration and plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. Ideal for the beach and arcades.

Quayside House is a gorgeous holiday home in an excellent location, easily capable of accommodating 9 people. It is comfortable, very well equipped and close to all the amenities of a typical UK seaside town. It is also a good base for exploring the Yorkshire coast and moors. The owner is very helpful and will ensure that you have a perfect holiday.

A little gem of a cottage, immaculately presented, very close to all facilities, we will be booking again later this year. Parking is difficult for a larger car, this is not a complaint about Quayside Cottage, definitely a great pace to stay and enjoy Scarborough.

This was our third visit & was a special birthday request from our now 5 year old. It really is the perfect place to stay in Scarborough a warm, welcoming owner, a beautiful cottage, parking space, perfectly placed close to the beach, harbour, castle & shops. I mentioned our stay was to celebrate our sons birthday and there was a birthday cake waiting for him, amongst other goodies, when we arrived it made his day! Thank you so much, we had a fantastic time. The lovely weather was an added bonus too!

Street parking was a bit of a lottery, but not a lot to be done about it if you want to stay close to property

What a beautiful house. Very clean and well decorated and furnishedequipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect. I didn't use my car for days! The owner was pleasant and helpful and the welcome box was a nice touch.

The location was brilliant, everything exceeded expectations, the house was roomy and parking was possible on the drive. The only small thing that I could find fault with was the back double bed, which needed a soft mattress topper. Having rented holiday accommodation for many years in many different parts of Britain, I would rate this as the best of them all.

House was lovely, really well fitted out plenty of room for you to not feel ontop of each other. We have a few teething troubles becuse the house had been shut away so long because of covid restrictions and they sorted them out fast and afficiently. Loved the games room, parking is tight so if you have a big car i would suggest getting the parking permit. The house is ideally situated to get to the harbour and beach and there is a one stop just a few steps away, its an absolute perfect location, its so near yet out of the way. Perfect holiday thanks for a lovely stay.

Absolute gem of a cottage. 4 double beds, and plenty of space! The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. The location was perfect, nice and quiet yet still right in the middle of it all! Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this cottage. Thanks so much.

Ideally situated for South Bay. Lovely house with all you could need. 3 generations stayed for a week, comfortable big beds, big bedrooms and we borrowed the travel cot and highchair. Owner was very helpful and we had a lovely welcome pack. The 2 front bedrooms might be a little noisy for light sleepers as the businesses in front do have to use noise trolleys for a short time first thing but only one person in our group heard them. The parking space was a little tight for our nissan qashqai but we squeezed in. Parking permit for A2 area given for the week was a bonus. Back courtyard was useful to dry beach towels and a nice surprise as no photos on here. Games room went down a treat and the lounge had comfy sofas. The house has constant warm water and was very warm. The only thing I would suggest is a slightly higher table and comfy chairs in kitchen, all men in our party were 6 foot or over and struggled to sit under the table, but we did eat out mostly so not major problem to us. Used cushions on chairs to help. WiFi was a little hit and miss too, but unless you have teens that's not an issue. Us oldies can survive without that. We would stay here again if we came back to the South bay.

Perfect seaside holiday cottage with very helpful and accommodating owners. Location was so convenient but beware the parking arrangements. Read the small print on which parking areas are covered by the permits if you want to avoid a ticket!! This had been explained, so not the holiday cottage owners fault just the overexcited holiday makers mistake! Fascinating time watching the crabs and lobsters being landed on the quay and sorted for market. The cottage is very well equipped and you would fail to find something that wasnt provided. The flexible accommodation worked very well for our 4 generation family and the welcome pack was a nice touch much appreciated.

Quayside house was fantastic! We were looking forward to a holiday with friends two families with children aged 613 and the house was perfect for us all. Downstairs provided plenty of space for dining and relaxing. Upstairs the bedrooms were lovely and comfortable with plenty of space for us all. Everything we needed was there from cooking utensils to a fishing net! We loved all the sea side decorations and finishing touches. We appreciated the welcome box of goodies too. The house is a minute from the sea front and ideally located for exploring up and down the coast too. Wed love to return sometime.
