Valiant House Reviews

Veronica

Lovely owner and lovely house. Very good communication from owner. Ideal walk to shops and beach. The house had everything we needed and much more. We all really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.

We had a fabulous weekend at Valiant House, Pippa made us feel welcome in this wonderful home. The house was spotless, comfortable and warm. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Plenty of local shops, a quick walk from the seafront and town centre, and a good choice of restaurants and cafs. I would recommend Valiant House without hesitation.

Pippa was a great host and very easy to contact. She contacted us a few days before our stay to give check in info. Pippa had put some balloons up in the house as we were celebrating a birthday this was a really lovely touch! The house had everything we needed and was warm and comfortable. Great location to visit everything in Scarborough. Really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Pippa and her cottage, thank you

Terence

Fantastic apartment everything you need warm comfy and spacious owner always at ... Fantastic apartment everything you need warm comfy and spacious owner always at the end of the phone IF needed would recommend to anyone thanks PIPPA

Super house in a really good location in Scarborough. Pippa the owner is friendly and helpful and always very quick to respond to any query. Overall, excellent experience and stay.

Elizabeth

Lovely property very clean and comfortable only thing I would suggest is to add a big cooking pot . We have already booked this property again for next year

Rachel

The floor boards in the property are rather noisy so you can hear some else when they get up in the night or early morning, which is ok if you are not a light sleeper. Limited resources for cooking for 7 even through the property sleeps 7. More large pans would have been useful. The location of the property is fantastic. Excellent and very helpful landlady

Home from home, accessible to all amenities, clean, cozy and quiet. Safe parking, lots of bedrooms to choose from. Definately recommend this beautiful place and the owner goes above and beyond even meeting me when my son forgot something!! Thank you, you have helped make more magical family memories.

Kayleigh

We really enjoyed our stay at Valiant house, Pippa the host was so helpful and left a thoughtful welcome gift for us, she was also on hand if we needed anything. The house was beautiful, so clean and had everything in it that you could possibly wish for, we really did have a lovely stay and we would love to come back again in the future.

Christy

What can I say? Well lots actually! Ill try to keep as brief as possible. As soon as we entered Valiant House, we knew wed made the right choice. The house was spotless, it smelled lovely and everywhere is beautifully decorated for a smart and homely feel. The number of beds and bathrooms is fantastic and it feels nice and safe for the younger kids. Couldnt fault our stay, all the party felt the same and we are missing it already. A real 1010 choice and landlady couldnt be more lovely or helpful!

Property very spacious and comfortable, close to sea and shops, with lovely walks. Quiet area parking not to bad over all a lovely stay.

Swayze

We stayed from the 171023 until the 211023 We came as a group of 5 from age 1621 for my 20th birthday with family and friends House was honeslty incredible we all felt at home, Master bedroom was perfect for me and my partner and the two attic rooms were taken by the other 3 one bad was a double and the other single 10 min walk to the beach! Lovely gesture was left on the kitchen table box of scarbough fudge We all loved our stay and cannot wait to book in the summer of 2024

Angela

The property is close to Scarborough and is very welcoming with quality chattels. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Pippa, the host, is a great communicator, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We really enjoyed staying at this property.

Owner was very easy to contact and very friendly the box of biscuits on arrival was a really nice touch. The house had a large kitchen and a nice outdoor seating area. Apart from the ensuite shower the whole house was very clean and had been thoughtfully decorated. The family bathroom would benefit from having a shower attachment added as the layout of bathrooms bedrooms didnt really work for our multigenerational family group. The house is well located in easy reach of north and South Bay although the street itself isnt that pleasant with lots of dog mess and litter nothing the owner can do about this. Unfortunately the house has some maintenance issues which need attention broken door locks, kitchen cupboards coming off hinges, tv broken, lots of incredibly creaky flooring which you dont expect in a modern house, broken toilet seat. We enjoyed our stay in Scarborough but probably wouldnt return to this particular property due to the bathroom arrangements

Beautiful house this is our second time there and will definitely be back, very handy for all amenities, would highly recommend.

The home is a great place to stay and its positioning is perfect. 15 minute walk from the beach, 5 minutes from the town centre, The only slight niggle would be to have a bigger TV. Mainly for those Rainy days. It was our 2nd stay at Valiant house and Pippa was so accommodating. We would come back and would recommend to friends

House was lovely plenty of space for family very clean ,communication was good from Pippa. Only downsides for us was parking we had to park on another street at times then worried about getting ticket. We also had an issue with some young people whilst taking my granddaughter for a walk up the street they started throwing objects one hitting the pram unsure if the norm but teenagers abit rowdy in the area. Our last stay in Scarborough was up the opposite end which is much quieter however all that said we had a lovely break ,house is perfect and located well to explore.

Everything you could possibly need. Highly recomend.

Heather

Fantastic house. Spotlessly clean. Really centrally located for both North and South Bays. Would be a bit cosysquash for 7 adults to be sat comfortably in lounge and at kitchen table for long periods of time.. Would benefit from a second shower in main bathroom. Shame floorboards on 2nd and 3rd floor squeak so much. Didn't detract from our enjoyment of our time in the house and Scarborough.

Graeme

We all had a great holiday at Valiant House. It had everything we needed, very clean, and was an ideal location to explore Yorkshire.

Violet

The property was lovely and had everything we needed. Very clean and tastefully decorated. The only thing I would say it needed was a shower above the bath especially as it caters for 7 people. Pippa was also very helpful.

Michael

Fabulous cottage, beautifully decorated, modern facilities, comfortable furnishings and immaculately clean. Good location close to both north and south bays. Excellent pub ten minutes walk away. Free onstreet parking outside. Recommend Valiant House without hesitation.

Andrew

Second time I have stayed here working and would recommend no problem, location and facilities excellent, look forward to having a actual holiday here next time.

Spotlessly clean & very well equipped. Nicely decorated & such comfy beds. Brilliant location just 5 mins walk to town & beach. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent accommodation with all the amenities you could want in a central location within Scarborough. The house was very clean, comfortable and communications with the owner Pippa were excellent. We would highly recommend.

Maureen

We just enjoyed everything about the house. It had everything and more for a lovely holiday. Thankyou

Booked at short notice & Inside the property there was everything we needed for our Family short break, All equipment looked new and the house very tastefully decorated and extremely clean. Pippa the owner was very helpful. Yes I would recommend.

Hassan

Everything was excellent, house is near to town center, very accessible, 5 minutes walking distance from the sea and most scarborough attractions. Very well equiped holiday house with four rooms, big kitchen, two bathrooms and above all beautifully decorated. I love it and so do my kids and my wife. The owner also is so much helpfull and knowledable she guided us to attractions of Scarborough. The best thing is when you reach the holiday house after long air flight and you find the owner kept a box of delicious cookies and milk in the fridge this wad very nice gesture. I will recommend this holiday house to every one considering a holiday in Scarborough.

Stephanie

Location perfect, home from home will definitely recommend and use again

Great place to stay. The little added touches especially the cookies, the tray set up for teacoffee and milk in the fridge where a great welcome. Thankyou

Perfect for my daughter and grandchildren. Very well eqipped

Deborah

The house was lovely very spacious and everything u needed was there
