Very central, didn't need to take car out over the weekend as where we went was all in walking distance. Perfect.

We enjoyed a lovely stay. The property overlooks the bay which is a lovely view. It is situated in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the town and other amenities. Sea life centre is worth a visit. The house was ideal for us on a family weekend. The large table in the dining room accommodated us all for family meals. The welcome pack was very kind and we would recommend this venue as a great place to stay

We had an excellent time at Highview, the property was well appointed and in an excellent location overlooking North Bay. It has homely comfort and adequate facilities for our family gathering and we were blessed with glorious weather. Scarborough and the surrounding area has much to offer as a family destination with gorgeous beaches plenty of activities and facilities to suit all ages.

Great communication from the owners both before we arrived very in depth notes on property area and for the first time a message to say the cleaners had finished early so we could get in early! !! and when we had to contact them re lighting and heating they came round and sorted what they could straight away. They also helped with recommendations of events etc A huge welcome pack waited for us in the kitchenboth basics and treats. The house was spacious and because of the weather warm when we overrided the heating. it is an old house with no heating in most ensuites.Plenty of very hot water for the kitchen and showers. It is an old house so there is a mix of unusual styles of furnishings etc but nothing could take away from the magnificent views of the magnificent sea from the dining room sitting room and a couple of bedrooms. The house is in a perfect spot. On the negative side a little more care in the cleaning and checking that equipment etc is still working would be appreciated but a great holiday base.

The house was perfect for a family gathering of mixed ages and a dog. The owners were very good at keeping in touch and left a really lovely welcome pack, all excellent. As we had very young children we were all in during the evenings and had lovely meals, games and a lot of fun sat around the huge dining table. Thankyou for a great stay.

Louise

Melanie

We had a lovely stay and would certainly return. The best welcome pack that we have ever received was waiting for us. The house is close to North Bay with the dog friendly beach, and only a 10 min walk to the town.

Yvonne

We loved this property. Very spacious for our needs. It was hot when we were there but we had our own fans. We asked for a cot and highchair and they were provided and both perfect. Everything you need was provided and more. We were given the best welcome pack that we have ever had with lots in it. Views of the sea superb. We would return.

The information provided by the owners before and during the stay were a nice touch. They were also very quick to respond to a query. The welcome pack was above and beyond expectations. Four generations of our family had a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely 6 days at Highview , would highly recommend. The welcome pack that was left was very much appreciated and very kind , definitely above average.

Mixed age Family group and we All thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stella

Comfy beds , Good showers in bathrooms .Amazing sea views from the lounge . House is so well positioned for all in ,Scarborough . Lovely coastal walks from the door. We visited the Castle, did a treasure hunt around the town . Had a great visit to the Stephen Joseph theatre .. a real gem ! Tree walk and lake in Peasholm park.. delightful. Would return anytime Thank you

Samara

Lovely house for a family get together. Plenty of options for bedrooms, super comfie living room and spacious dining room, well equipped kitchen. Nice views of the sea. The communications from the owners were really great and helpful. The showers are a bit on the small side and in a couple it was difficult to regulate the water temperature. Not quite a 5 for us, but more than a 4 if I could give it 4.5 I would do so.

We found Highview to be one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Comfortable seating lovely bedding and towels. Situated in a good position with private parking. People need to be aware that the first bedroom and the lounge are on the 1st floor no problem to us but might be to others. Would book again

We had a lovely weekend staying at Highview. We were a family of 12 9 adults, 3 kids and 3 dogs 4 generations. Highview is conveniently situated looking over North Bay which you can take dogs on. The property was lovely and enough seating both in the dining room and the sitting room. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. The welcome package was unexpected but gratefully received. Would we stay here again? Definitely if we were a large group

Stuart

As a family of 10 we loved the communal spaces that accommodated our large group. The kitchen is well equipped with more than enough items for dining in. The house is decorated and furnished in an eclectic style and the location is great for walking, sightseeing and shopping. The owner provided comprehensive information for using the equipment and good local knowledge for places to visit etc. we particularly appreciated the amount of items in the welcome pack, bread, milk, butter, biscuits, donuts, drinks, fizz, beers, even sweets and Easter eggs for the kids. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend for large family groups.

We had a fantastic week in Highview! ! 11 people and 1 dog. Lots of space , all had own bathrooms!! House was always warm and cosy. The welcome pack was amazing and very thoughtful. Owners John and Kim were very helpful and sent us lots of information about the area and checked in with us during our stay with restaurant recommendations. House was in a perfect position looking out over the north bay. Would definitely like to go and stay here again.

The property is in a wonderful location with sea views and an easy walk to the North Bay and the town centre. Until recently it was a B&B and retains that look and feel. The furniture and decor is a little worn but charming and comfortable. From the ground floor, Kitchen and Dining room, the nearest shared toilet is on the second floor. So a bit of a hike. We had a very enjoyable week and would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday in Highview. There was everything we needed there for a perfect stay. The rooms were all lovely and tastefully decorated with comfy beds! The showers were all great and worked perfectly. The property is close to all local amenities, such as Peasholm Park and the lovely beaches of Scarborough. Lots to see & do! Highly recommended. We hope to return soon.

High View lives up to its name, with views of castle, sea and headlands. The property was spacious, clean and well equipped. The owners had thought of those little extra touches like basic provisions on arrival. A good grocery shop round the corner served day to day needs. What to do plenty! Many kids' attractions like the castle, Water Park, Sea life centre, and of course the beach. Lovely coastal walks and talian gardens. There is more to discover on our next visit. Highly recommended. Jean

Perfect location for a short walk to North Bay beach with lovely sand and a couple of shops, and a little further to Peasholm Park. The chip shop at the bottom of the hill is really nice. 15 mins walk to South Bay for shops and Arcades. Saves finding parking. The house was lovely, with large dining table, Snug for kids, and amazing view from Living room window. The beds were incredibly comfy and suited our large group perfectly. Homeowner John was incredibly helpful and responded immediately to anything we needed. Highly recommend this property.

Carole

We came with 3 generations of our family for a week and had a very relaxed time. I think we used the cars on one day but otherwise found plenty to do in the town itself. Fortunately the weather was quite good so we did quite a bit of wandering and spent time on the beach. John, the host was very helpful with suggestions of things to do and he was very accessible, we felt we could contact him for help and advice. The market hall is certainly worth a visit and the lovely artesan baker provided our lunch on a couple of days. The house is in a lovely position and the sea side of it is especially quiet, apart from the waves. There were 8 of us staying and we had plenty of space, there would certainly have been room for more. The house was well equiped and the details were fairly accurate but I did find the description of the sleeping and bathroom arrangements a bit confusing. Just another point which might be useful for future guests, although there are games to play, there are none provided for under 5s, not a problem but probably useful to know.

Fabulous family holiday, hosts were very attentive and responsive to email. There were a few grocery items left when we arrived to tie us over until we managed to do a shop which was really helpful. Property is great for a largerextended family as you can all spend time together but with it being so big can all have your own space too. Only downside for us was the amount of stairs as we had elderlyheavily pregnant individuals in our party and no telescope in the property as advertised on the pictures as this left one of our party particularly disappointed. Would recommend this property and definitely stay again, sea views were picturesque. Thank you for our stay!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Highview , the house is beautiful with a well equipped kitchen , comfortable beds , lovely furniture and stunning views . Great location within Scarborough and the perfect place for our Birthday celebrations. We had a lovely stay, and found the owners very helpful .

Christine

The property was as described, it was warm and welcoming with a nice welcome pack and Christmas decorations throughout. The beds were comfortable and all the bedding and towels very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our New Years Day dinner. The views from the property over the north bay are spectacular, and Peasholme Park and central Scarborough are in easy walking distance. Whilst there we had a small maintenance problem which the owner John dealt with very quickly and efficiently, arriving only 15 minutes after being contacted. Our party of 11 all had a very enjoyable stay thank you John and Kim.

We had a wonderful stay at Highview. Its a lovely, spacious place with a nice homely feel. The location was perfect the sea view of North Bay is just stunning and there are so many great cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance. Its also easy to visit places further afield like Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby amongst others. John and Kim were very welcoming and attentive hosts. I would thoroughly recommend staying at Highview!

Matthew

Perfect location for a family gettogether. Everything we needed.

Joanne

Fantastic place to stay house facilities are great, lots of room for everyone, bonus having so many showers! Kids loved playing hide and seek. Location was amazing really close to the North bay beach during the day for surfing and a 10min walk over to the South Bay at night for amusements. Stunning views out to sea from lounge especially the sunrise we watched on our first morning. Thanks so much for easy communication and lots of information and advice before and during our stay. We will happily return again and recommend to others thanks for making our holiday stress free!

Claire

Wonderful property and a fantastic base to explore Scarborough. Beautiful views from the property over the sea but within walking distance of all attractions. Owners extremely friendly and checked in to ensure we were happy with everything. Information handbook was excellent and a massive help. Property itself was well equipped and had the space we needed for a large property. Everyone was impressed and we have discussed staying again.

The property was really good, comfortable and ideal for a big group. The views are really lovely and very close to the beach and attractions. We all said we would definitely like to stay again.

Kathleen

Wonderful location and spacious comfortable accommodation. The view from the living room in particular was stunning. The welcome pack was generous and very carefully selected by an obviously very thoughtful host. We all from the youngest 1yr old to the oldest 70 had a wonderful stay

Carole

The best equipped self catering we have stayed in for years. Slightly quirky that one ensuite had a bidet instead of a toilet.

Lovely holiday home A wonderful surprise was left for us when we arrived , the welcome basket was by far the best we have ever had! Property is beautiful we loved the high ceilings and the lovely furnishings , the beds were so comfy that we all looked forward to going to bed each night. The property was lovely and warm and even though large nice and cosy. That fact that the property was just across from the north beach was amazing and we had some lovely views , and on a walk into town we even saw some dolphins . The owners where wonderful and very helpful . I hope that future bookings enjoy the house as much as we did !
