Regent House Reviews

Nicola
Very clean, comfortable, spacious appartment in a central location making it ideal for exploring all Scarborough has to offer beaches, the castle, art gallery, shops etc. Well equipped, plus a good file of information and several sets of keys which I always appreciate. It's also ideal for anyone using public transport being only 15 mins walk from the railway station. The only drawback for anyone with mobility problems is access to the keysafe which is up a metal fire escape at the rear of the building. However, once in the appartment one can use the front door of Regent House.

Spacious, very clean and comfortable apartment, the photos don't really do it justice. ..lots of lovely pictures and quirky touches. We appreciated the welcome basket and milk in the fridge too. Great location in the centre of Scarborough. Nathan was very helpful when some car keys were accidentally left behind....Thank you for a great stay!!
Louise
A great spacious house with convenient parking just outside. Everything you could need was provided a great place to stay.
Christine

Fab property for a party of 7 plenty of space & retains a lot of character.
Very nice flat. Very clean and well equipped. Beds very comfy. We had a great stay.
The house was lovely and spacious and ideally located for beaches etc. Unfortunately when we arrived there had been a mix up and the property hadn't been cleaned after the previous people. However, after speaking to the owners who were very apologetic the cleaners were there within 40 minutes, were very nice and managed to get it sorted even with us under their feet. Although this was an inconvenience I was very appreciative of the prompt response to resolve it, also the m&s voucher as way of an apology was very welcomed. We had 4 children with us, the house was big enough to accomodate us and we all commented on the lovely comfy beds. Would have been lovely to be able to park and leave our car in the car park directly at the back of the property, however the pass provided for a different car park was not too far away. Would definitely recommend to others.

This property was amazing! In a great location. Has all facilities needed, well equipped. Biscuits, teabags and even a bottle of wine to welcome you. Great communication with owners who got back to me straight away with any queries i had. 10 out of 10 on everything. Will definitely be returning.

The property is decorated lovely and in the centre of scarbrough. The cleaners had not cleaned properly, it was dusty eg. Dining table, some bedroom cabinets, top floor bath. Outside the rear of the property was disgusting. We could see a burnt couch, rubbish bins everywere on the fire escape entrance, the indian takeaway rear was disgusting too. The car park permit was not there. We had to pay parking until this was sorted out. There was no welcome basket at all, although the next day, one was left on the fire escape platform in the rain. The low celing beams caused a few bumps and bangs on our heads they are really low!!!! We didn't know this before booking. The property is not suitible for very young children with puschairs. You have to climb and carry the puschairs and children up three flights of stairs every time you enter and exit. The beds were really comftable, probably the best I have stayed in. The furniture was lovely too. The upstairs bedrooms you entered through low beams and small triangle doors, you have to crouch to get to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Overall I found this a very disapointing stay and this was not what we expected. I have given it a fair rating, as the apartment had some lovely features.

The apartment was tastefully furnished and very comfortable. It was well equipped and the location was excellent, in the old town, close to the town and beach. We found the instructions to access the property and to park the car confusing. It is unclear, as it suggests that the key box is by the front door, not at the rear. We also assumed that the rear car park was the one we had a pass for, but we then had to drive to the ncp car park via a one way system. However we loved the flat and had a great holiday.
Absolutely fantastic stay. Owners have thought of everything to make the stay perfect. The beds are the best we have slept on. I can, without doubt, say that this flat is exquisite. The size of the apartment is immense. The style is beautiful as is the decor. We stayed with our three teenage boys and they were more than happy. Wifi was speedy too. I loved the quirkiness of the flat, as it dates back to 1790 I believe. The apartment was light and airy. Lots of extras and plenty of towels. I would rate this flat as 1010. The carpark outside the rear of the flat was great for unloading, and the main NCP that the owners provided us with a free pass for was just at the rear of Matalan, just over the main road at the rear. Thank you for the most perfect stay.

Lovely comfortable apartment so close to all amenities everything you need ... Lovely comfortable apartment so close to all amenities everything you need including tea coffee milk and biscuits definitely recommend to everyone and definitely coming back next year
We had a lovely 4 night stay over New Year. The apartment was very clean and extremely well equipped. It was also in a great central location. Would definitely recommend.
Great addition to the properties available to rent in Scarborough. The flat was excellently appointed and in a great location given that the owners very wisely provide a parking permit for the nearby multistory car park. Can be a little noisy on a Friday and Saturday night humans and every morning as the sun rises seagulls, but that is part and parcel of the seaside. The key instructions should be updated to make it clear that the stairs referred to are at the back of the property and where exactly the back of the property is! Took a little searching in the dark. The owners should be made aware that there is a wet patch on the carpet outside the upstairs bathroom. This was there for the whole stay. It appeared to be from a leak in the roof as the ceiling paint was also flaking off. There was no rain whilst we stayed so maybe there is a pipe leaking somewhere.
Property is in a very noisy unappealing location unless you want to be able to pop to the shops or bars. Parking is a pain unless you are back by 8pm to use the allocated car park. Restrictive head height on all upper level rooms. Generally well presented property but need refinement in some areas.
Great location, well equipped and very comfortable.
